2. Website Uptime & Availability

1.4 All reasonable measures are taken by us to ensure that this website is operational all day, every day. However, occasionally technical issues may result in downtime and accordingly we will not be liable if this website is unavailable at any time.

3. Visitor Provided Material

1.6 Any material that a visitor to this website sends or posts to this website shall be considered non-proprietary and non-confidential. We shall be entitled to copy, disclose, distribute or use for such other purpose as we deem appropriate all material provided to us, with the exception of personal data, the processing of which is covered under our Privacy Policy.

1.7 When using this website you shall not post or send to or from this website any material:

  • (a) for which you have not obtained all necessary consents;
  • (b) that is discriminatory, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, liable to incite racial hatred, in breach of confidentiality or privacy, which may cause annoyance or inconvenience to others, which encourages or constitutes conduct that would be deemed a criminal offence, give rise to a civil liability, or otherwise is contrary to the law in the United Kingdom;
  • (c) which is harmful in nature including, and without limitation, computer viruses, Trojan horses, corrupted data, or other potentially harmful software or data.

1.8 We will fully co-operate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requiring us to disclose the identity or other details of any person posting material to this website in breach of Paragraph 1.7.

4. Links To and From Other Websites

1.9 Throughout this website you may find links to third-party websites. The provision of a link to such a website does not mean that we endorse that website. If you visit any website via a link on this website you do so at your own risk.

1.10 Any party wishing to link to this website is entitled to do so provided that the conditions below are observed:

  • (a) you do not seek to imply that we are endorsing the services or products of another party unless this has been agreed with us in writing;
  • (b) you do not misrepresent your relationship with this website; and
  • (c) the website from which you link to this website does not contain offensive or otherwise controversial content, or content that infringes any intellectual property rights or other rights of a third party.

1.11 By linking to this website in breach of clause 1.10 you shall indemnify us for any loss or damage suffered to this website or our business as a result of such linking.

5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

1.12 Whilst we take all reasonable steps to make sure that the information on this website is up to date and accurate at all times, we do not guarantee that all material is accurate and/or up to date. All product images, dimensions, and specifications are for illustrative purposes only.

1.13 All material contained on this website is provided without any warranty of any kind. You use the material on this website at your own discretion.

1.14 Limitation of Liability:

  • (a) For Private Consumers: We are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us. If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract.
  • (b) For Business Customers: We shall not be liable to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, loss of business opportunity, project delays, installer or plumber call-out fees, or any indirect or consequential loss arising under or in connection with any contract between us. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the price paid for the specific goods giving rise to the claim.

1.15 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under the applicable law of the United Kingdom.

6. Shipping & Damage in Transit

1.16 For private consumers, your order will be processed and delivered without undue delay, and no later than 30 days after your order has been placed, unless a specific extended delivery timeframe is explicitly agreed upon.

1.17 Estimated delivery timelines will be provided at checkout. Please allow up to 7 working days for delivery following the dispatch of your order. Any delivery dates quoted are approximate only and time shall not be of the essence for deliveries.

1.18 Inspection of Goods & Transit Damage Claims: Upon receipt of your order, you must inspect all goods thoroughly before installation begins.

  • (a) Business Customers (B2B): Any defects, shortages, or transit damages must be reported to us via email within 48 hours of delivery. Failure to report within this timeframe will mean the goods are deemed accepted in perfect condition, and any subsequent damage claims will be rejected outright.
  • (b) Private Consumers (B2C): Visible transit damages, missing parts, or surface defects must be reported to us as soon as reasonably practicable (ideally within 48 hours) to allow us to hold our logistical partners liable. Your statutory rights regarding internal, manufacturing defects remain unaffected.

To process any transit damage claim, please send clear photographic evidence to info@shop4bathroom.co.uk showing:

  • The entire damaged item;
  • The specific broken part if not clearly visible on the main photo;
  • The internal packaging material;
  • The outer transit box showing all sides (including the shipping label and signs of impact).

We cannot accept claims for transit damage if the item has been partially or fully installed, or if the original outer packaging has been discarded. In the case of any damaged item claim, we require a return of the physical item(s). Under no condition should the item(s) be disposed of without our written consent.

7. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

1.19 Private Consumers Only (B2C): Private consumers have the right to cancel their order under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations. This right does not apply to business buyers, corporate procurement, commercial trade accounts, or sole traders purchasing for professional use. Business orders are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable in the event of a change of mind.

1.20 For private consumers, your right to cancel an order for goods starts the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods. You must notify us explicitly via email by writing to: info@shop4bathroom.co.uk

1.21 To meet the cancellation deadline, please notify us via email about cancelling the order before the 14-day cancellation period has expired.

1.22 While you have possession of the goods you wish to return, it is your responsibility to keep them in perfect, resaleable condition and handle them with reasonable care. You are required to return the items to our contact address at your own expense, unless the product was delivered in error or is legally determined to be faulty. The return must be initiated promptly following your cancellation and completed within 14 days from the date you informed us of your intention to return the goods.

1.23 Any return requests due to a damaged or inherently faulty product must be sent to info@shop4bathroom.co.uk. Where a product is verified as damaged or faulty upon delivery, we will collect the item from you or provide a prepaid return shipping label. In rare cases involving bulky items, we may instruct you in writing to dispose of the item.

1.24 All items returned due to a change of mind (Private Consumers only) must be in the exact same condition as they were when received. The original manufacturer's box must be inserted into an outer protective postage bag or an additional structural shipping box to protect it from transit damage. If any accessories or parts are missing, or if the original manufacturer's packaging is damaged, has postage labels attached directly to it, contains writing, or is sealed with standard tape, we reserve the right to refuse the return outright or apply a restocking fee of between 10% and 30% depending on the reduction in product value.

1.25 Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel an order that has not yet been dispatched, any sum debited to us will be refunded to your original payment method as soon as possible, and in any event within 7 working days of your cancellation notice.

8. Contract Formation and Order Acceptance

1.26 A legally binding contract between shop4bathroom and the customer is only formed once your ordered goods have been physically dispatched from our warehouse and a formal dispatch confirmation email has been issued.

1.27 Processing a payment and sending an automated order confirmation email does not constitute legal acceptance of an order by shop4bathroom. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our sole discretion prior to dispatch (including but not limited to instances of pricing errors, technical glitches, stock unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity), in which case a full refund will be issued promptly.
